What do I have to do to keep my smartAC kits?
If you receive smartAC kits you must connect them to your WiFi network and participate in the entirety of at least one full set of Cool Points Hours with at least one of your kits to keep them. This is a valuable piece of technology that you can use year after year. If you do not participate in at least one set of Cool Points Hours you will be asked to return the smartAC kits at the end of the season with a free return label. If you do not do so, your credit card will be charged $90 for each smartAC kit not returned. If you are not happy with the equipment or program, you can return the kits any time at no cost to you with our free return shipping label.
If you received your equipment over the fall or winter (between August 15th 2016 and May 15th 2017), you'll need to set them up by June 15th 2017.
You will earn $10 in Cool Points just for getting all your smartAC kits online and enrolled in the Program. You will also earn Cool Points for each Cool Points Hours you participate in. You will also get to join in on fun contests throughout the summer, where you have opportunities to win big prizes.
If you choose not to participate in after signing up and want to cancel your enrollment, you will need to return the equipment as per the following timelines or you will be charged $90 per smartAC kit. This is why we need your credit card information.
- If you do not set up and enroll the smartAC kit within 21 days of delivery, you will have 10 days to return it.
- If you do not participate fully in at least one full set of Cool Points Hours during the summer, you will have until October 15, 2017 to return the equipment.
Exceptions and extensions may be awarded if you are experiencing technical issues that the technical support team is unable to solve, but these will only be awarded on a case-by-case basis.
